In Lagos, a two-story structure collapses, saving seven people.

After searching the debris, LASEMA's rescue squad verified that there was no victim beneath the fallen structure

In the Mushin neighborhood of Lagos State, a newly built two-story building at 12 Cameroun Street, off Ewenla, collapsed on Wednesday. Seven people were rescued from the structure.

Seven people, three of whom are female and four of whom are male, were rescued and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to a statement released by Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

The organization reported that after searching the debris, its rescue squad had found no victims beneath the toppled structure.

It added that the area had been cordoned off and that operations were still ongoing in the area.

Mr. Oke-Osanyintolu advised Lagosian to maintain their composure, avoid making unnecessary travel plans, and rest assured that emergency responders were on high alert amid flash flood situations throughout the state.

"People should maintain their composure as the floods are gradually decreasing," he continued.

The expanding list of structural problems throughout the nation is augmented by the fall of a structure in Mushin.
